FinaCARD Shredded Cardboard Animal Bedding
Further development from Diceabed and StableBED shredded paper horse bedding is FinaCARD shredded cardboard animal bedding. FinaCARD shredded cardboard animal bedding is produced from clean dry corrugated cardboard using specially designed shredders. The bedding is fluffed up and dust extracted prior to baling.
FinaCARD shredded cardboard animal bedding is very different from other cardboard bedding. It is very much finely shredded cardboard bedding with typical particle sizes being 5mm by 20mm. This makes the bedding much more springy and livelier. It tends to be a lot more bouncier than square cut cardboard bedding. Another advantage is that it absorbs quicker leaving a very much smaller wet patch to remove.
FinaCARD shredded cardboard animal bedding is dust extracted animal bedding. Further, unlike some other bedding, dust is not created whilst in use. Animals suffering from respiratory problems such as COPD will benefit when bedded on FinaCARD.
FinaCARD shredded cardboard animal bedding is highly absorbent and efficient bedding. It is substantially more absorbent than straw, shavings and even hemp. This results in much smaller wet patches and smaller amount of bedding being removed, leaving animals drier and comfortable.
Insulating properties of FinaCARD shredded cardboard animal bedding is very good. It is as good as paper bedding. This keeps horses, especially in winter months, warm and comfortable.
Disposing of soiled bedding is becoming increasingly difficult. However, FinaCARD shredded animal bedding makes disposing of soiled bedding easier. Firstly, the amount coming out of the stables will be a lot less as the bedding is very efficient. Secondly, cardboard decomposes very quickly compared to straw, shavings or paper. In a matter of few months the soiled bedding will turn into lovely compost / soil conditioner.

Finacard creates a healthy environment for rats. Rats have a very sensitive respiratory system and dusty environments trigger off respiratory infection. Being dust extracted, finacard minimises the dust hazard. One would assume that cardboard bedding will be somewhat harsh to little ratties feet. FinaCARD is surprisingly soft and very comfortable. Finacard is very absorbent and masks smells well. Rats enjoy to dig and burrow, Finacard allows rats to do exactly that. Also you can hide treats in finacard and rats will love to look for it
Rats can be easily litter trained, therefore it is advisable to train them from a young age. Finacard also supply paper pellets and nesting/bedding material. We would suggest using Finacard as substrate (on the base of the cage), Our paper pellets in the litter tray and nesting material in the sleeping quarters.
